The Old Testament
The Old Testament is somehow the forgotten part of the Bible although it makes up more than 75 percent of it.
While we may flip through and read a few Psalms or Proverbs here and there or get a promise out of one of the prophetic books, it is very often a part of the Bible we do not read regularly.
There is so much more: Understanding its purpose as the foundation for what we believe, viewing it as the Bible Jesus and his disciples quoted frequently, and observing the major themes develop, will enrich your spiritual life. Finding Jesus as the Messiah, reflected in its pages will continue to build your faith, and you will see how the Old and New Testament are intricately woven together.
