Women in Ministry

Women in Ministry

In the Old Testament we meet a few outstanding women leaders who served God. When Jesus began his ministry on earth, as described in the four gospels, many women were his followers.

Throughout the rest of the New Testament many women served as leaders in the church, followed by a time of persecution when Christians were martyred, many of them women.

During the history of the church until now, women from around the world have often been the first to bring the gospel to the nations, as well as being the pioneers in translating the Bible, introducing education and medical care for those who needed it.

Today God is calling women and men to continue to proclaim the gospel - where you live and in the locations he is calling you to be a witness.
